The Growth of the appellation

White Wines: A "Faugeres Blanc" will come into production soon. It will be made from Marsanne, Roussanne, Grenache blanc and Rolle (or Vermentino) grapes.
The request for AOC status for Faugeres Blanc is being studied by representatives of INAO.

Faugeres Brandy: Known many years ago as "Faugeres Fine", Faugeres brandy is soon to be brought back into production. Unlike existing Languedoc brandies, the Faugeres brandy will be distilled in the same way as it was at the turn of the century, using a Charentais still. This method is more expensive and takes longer, but it produces an excellent smooth Brandy.

CUVEE "TROIS TOURS"  ("Three Towers")

The "Three Towers" are Roman towers situated on the hill-top above the village of Faugeres. These towers were turned into windmills in the 16th Century and are now the emblem of Faugeres. They are being restored to functioning Wind Mills.

The first bottles of "Cuvee Trois Tours" were put on the market in 1997. The wine was a 1995 vintage. A special bottle and label were created to distinguish this very high quality product.

A very strict charter covers the production of this wine: coontrolled cultivation, manual harvesting, old vines, high quality grapes, low yield, etc.....

The "Cuvee Trois Tours" wines are the flagship of the Faugeres Appellation.
